This is a picture of where I am spending my vacation....my house.I am saving money but it is gosh darn hard to relax. There is always something to be done.I have been MIA from this blog for most of July.....so hear is what happened in a nutshell....bought a bike,went to a retreat for work,saw Krishna Das (funky Hindu chant),celebrated my 5 Th anniversary with my honey at the Rock Bottom Brewery with Summer Wheat beer,saw Avenue Q (R rated puppet show/musical)went to a mass at church honoring the GLBT community as well as having a booth at the Pride festival which I also went to.
With my vacation we have gone to yard sales,cooked more than usual in fun ways trying out different recipes.I have done things like go out to dinner and catch up with friends. I watched the Carolina Panthers,walked the dogs,got a massage,and am in the process of going through my mothers recipes to organize them and make copies so my sister can have them too.I went to Rutherfordton to take a massage class and tomorrow I look forward to swimming.I also look forward to doing absolutely nothing..except maybe read and go to my favorite bookstores.Daily as I sit at the computer checking email,I watch the hummingbirds for what seems to be hours.A boring vacation to some...but one that is much needed and I actually have 3 days left!
