This is a picture of our garden at home. Most of our stuff are in pots and baskets. I loved this article out of Organic Gardening. So I thought I would share a few quotes from Dovie Thomason's article about her dad's garden....about her dad.
"Do the hard work now,or there'll just be more later."
"There's use for those rocks....some things just grow better in a hard place."
While pressing seeds in the earth he would say,"Takes courage to emerge from the darkness.Everything begins in darkness."
"That's faith, putting a seed in the ground and believing something good will come of it."
"Plant extra for the critters, but mark your borders with pee so they don't eat yours too."
About bees and worms,"Without them, life's over on this earth.Top of the food chain...ha...If we all disappeared,it'd all go on without us."
"Share with the folks who've got no garden."
"You enter the garden at the speed of man.You leave the garden at the speed of a plant."
Mime move of the day:The mime is sitting by the air conditioner in 99 degree heat.No moving today.
