I stood in the middle of the ladies apparel section at Walmart with my sister and nephew. We were there to pick out under garments for my mother.Yes in accordance with policy, it is necessary to bury the deceased in their Sunday best and underwear. We could not settle on a size.(mom was about 65 pounds overweight)Then we had to think about color...which was crazy.....who was going to see her in them...except the "funeral home people".....about that time my nephew shows up with an XXL pair of thongs. My sister and I looked at him with his Cheshire cat smile...then looked at each other and burst out laughing. We laughed until we cried...even at the check out....
This was after we had spent some 4 hours that morning looking for mom's gosh darn safety deposit box key.We finally found it in her underwear drawer located under an envelope with almost $300 in it....which was located under a loaded gun....Isn't this where everyone keeps their safety deposit box key?

Gaye, That's great: the loaded gun, the envelope of money, and the key - had your mom ever fired a gun? And then the thong. I wish that I had been with my mom when she died, instead of 350 miles away.
I am guessing mom never shot a gun.It was just protection? The time between her death and her funeral is chock full of this crazy stuff..my mother was a character... I count myself most fortunate to be with her when she passed.
